Greg Smith is the minister of the Tri-Lakes Church of Christ.
Greg and his wife Trish were both born and raised in Holly, CO. Both of their families were involved with farming and ranching. They became High School sweethearts and were married in October of 1983. They have three sons; Jacob, Cole, and Caleb.
Greg graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in 1985 with a degree to teach and coach. He worked as a territory sales manager for an agricultural company for fifteen years before becoming a minister. Greg became minister of the Burlington Church of Christ in Burlington, CO in December of 2000. He served as pulpit minister, Youth minister, and was very involved in Prison ministry every week.
The Smiths moved to the Monument, CO area in July of 2008 when Greg became the full time pulpit minister for the Tri-Lakes church of Christ. Greg has one very important philosophy about how to preach and teach from God's word; "Keep it simple!" The challenge in every sermon and every class is for all of us to grow spiritually. Ephesians 4 is filled with the challenge for God's people to be united in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. God meets everyone right where they are but He refuses to let them stay there. God wants all people everywhere to reach out for Him and find Him(Acts 17:27) and once they reach out for Him they need to continue to grow. Grow closer to God and grow in their understanding of who God is and what He wants from them.
