VBS 2011 pictures are now in the Photo Galleries (linked in the menu to the left) . Camp EDGE VBS 2011 was a great success! We studied how Everyone Discovers God Everywhere. We had stories from the Bible come to life in The Tents, lots of entertainment at the Campsite with prizes for everyone and a new puppet—Cubby the Bear, yummy & themed snacks at The Canteen including “Worms & Dirt” and “Make Your Own S’More”, hands-on crafts each night culminating with making rain sticks on Wednesday, and lots of fun games with water balloons and camping chairs. Everyone left VBS knowing just how much God loves us and takes care of us! We ended the week with Thursday night’s Family Campfire Celebration, with a large crowd of around 225 for fellowship, food and drink around the picnic tables at the campground. The night’s activities included a hot dog supper with all the fixin’s & an array of delicious desserts, visits from Smokey Bear and Firefighters with their 52-foot Fire Truck, Award Presentations for the “Tastes Most Like a S’More” Dessert Contest and Most Campers Brought and stories around the campfire like “Goin’ on a Bear Hunt”.
